How the weight moves through the hip: ‘heavy ass’ and progressive grounding.
Horizontality and verticality: how to work with them and how they complement and feed into each other.
The foot-sit bone connection.
How to release the legs outward: planeos.
Sequence/exercise:
We used the small ball to increase self-awareness and worked on a super challenging sequence that includes a DEEP SACADA and a sweeping motion in the follower’s role: but don’t worry, the sequence is just an excuse to grow in body awareness.
