PELOTITAS | C1: Pushes, grounding, and rotation.

We study:

  • The pushes and contact points at each part of the foot: the ‘triangle’ of contact.
  • Leg rotation: parallel and rotated walks, and the differences between them.
  • Small, medium, or large step: aesthetic decisions are also studied.
  • How to speed up or slow down the body’s internal timing when using music.

Sequence/exercise:

We did the exercise of training the short, medium, and long steps, with shoes and music.
Beyond the size, we practiced musicality. We delved into the difference between dancing and moving, which will surely lie in the sensation, in the emotional aspect.


To go deeper, we recommend C2 and C4 from the Intensivos, and class #11, which reinforces the study of walking by incorporating knee flexion and extension.
